Work has been distracting. I’m working on the queue right now though, so stay tuned!
Regardless of your status or beliefs regarding the holiday, you all deserve the very best!
You are all my valentines!
So, I am working on a Mami Tomoe (Madoka Magica) costume for SDCC, and decided to make my prop rifle using a real rifle stock.
It’s mostly experimental (I have NO IDEA how well it will work), but if people are interested, they can follow my progress on my main blog or on my livejournal. The Livejournal posts will probably be more detailed as far as talking about what I’m doing.
I’m also happy to answer any questions regarding the build, though I’d prefer they not be sent here.
(look, a personal post that’s cosplay-related!)
I might also end up making a few sets of 3D-Maneuver Gear from Attack on Titan for SDCC as well, so if I do that, those will be posted in the same places.
We have a NEW TAG for the blog, for posts without a source.
The tag is “source needed,” so if you see something with that tag and you know where it’s from, let me know (and provide a link to the post) so I can fix it!
I’d prefer links to the cosplayer’s pages so I can give them proper credit. Photographers are okay as well, but I’d really like to give credit to the cosplayer directly.
I wish all my followers a happy and safe new year!
- Use transport services or a designated driver if you drink and aren’t staying where you’re drinking.
- Be very careful with fireworks, ESPECIALLY if you’re setting off your own
- Don’t fire your gun into the air (or anywhere else, really)! What goes up MUST come down. Nobody needs to start the year getting hurt!
Be safe, be smart, and we can all start the year off on the right foot.
See you all next year! ;)
I will be queueing up some winter and Christmas-themed cosplay.
To all that celebrate the holiday, I hope you all have a merry Christmas!
To those that don’t, I wish you the happiest of holidays.
Don’t forget to be safe, everyone! Please make use of taxis, designated drivers, or courtesy shuttles if you need to.
Lots of love and hugs to all of you!
To all my followers who celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow, be safe!
If you’re participating in Black Friday, be EXTRA safe! Your safety > a good deal on an item.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Please provide the cosplayer’s page (if applicable), the character’s name, and the series IN ENGLISH.
I know this sounds kind of dickish, but there are a few languages that google translate nor freetranslation don’t seem to pick up (I can’t get either to translate Russian characters, for example), so it leaves me with a pile of information I simply cannot use.
It makes me really sad when I have to make a hard decision of whether to post an image without the source (because I am not given a link, only names alongside characters I cannot translate), or to not publish a nicely done costume. Please don’t make me have to make that choice. ):
I understand many followers might not speak English, or speak it as a second language. That’s okay! The submission doesn’t need to be complicated. (: You can try this format:
<Character> by <Cosplayer link> from <series>
So it would be… Ash Ketchum by GreatCosplay from Pokemon
I would really appreciate cooperation on this, because I don’t like to have to decline submissions because I can’t make out the source!
- Fill the queue
- Leave it for a few days so the queue gets emptied
- Forget to add more stuff to the queue
- Forget you run this blog
